AMLA Artists celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month

Greetings Friends

As many of you may or may not know, It is Jazz Appreciation Month. Teaching artists from Artístas y Músicos Latino Americanos (AMLA) will present an evening of music celebrating the cultural connection between jazz and Latin American music. The celebrated artists will perform a series of Latin Jazz pieces and some jazz standards with a Latin twist. The presentation will include a Q&A section designed to educate and empower them with music and information. The event is curated by AMLA’s Artistic Director, Suzzette Ortiz, and will feature Luis Gonzalez on bass, Mariano Medina on percussion, Stephen Lorek on guitar, and Daniel de Jesús on Violin and Cello.
